Transport for London to host a road safety tour as part of Road Safety Expo 2009

Road Safety Logo LARGERoad Safety Expo, scheduled for the 12 of November 2009 at QEII Conference Centre is proud to team up with Transport for London (TfL), who will host the pre-conference Road Safety visit for international road safety experts. TfL carries out the Mayor’s transport strategy for London and manages the majority of transport services across the capital.

TfL is working together with the organisers of Road Safety Expo 2009 for a full-day road safety presentation on the achievements of London as one of the safest capital cities in the world for motorists and pedestrians alike. The day will include presentations on what has worked in London, a demonstration of the Intelligent Speed Adaptation equipment and visits to road safety schemes in London. The event promises to be the highlight for the November calendar on road safety in the UK.

The workshop will showcase London’s greatest Road Safety achievements and takes place on the morning 11 of November at TfL HQ in central London. This will be followed by a ‘Road Tour’ in the afternoon where delegates will have the opportunity to visit the London Traffic Control Centre, take part in a demonstration of the ISA Cars (Intelligence Speed Adaptation) and experience the centre of London touring on a TfL hybrid bus.

Road Safety Expo is an essential event for all road safety professionals, comprising of a comprehensive conference programme, exhibition and networking opportunities with industry experts.

Road Safety Expo 2009 is organised by Publications UK and supported by RoadSafe, AIRSO, IRSO, IHIE, the IHT, Road Safety Support and is a signatory to the European Road Safety Charter.
